December 2010
Kraft Engineering and Surveying, Inc. is a recipient of the 2010 Award of
Excellence in Urban Arterials Less Than 30,000 SYD from the Michigan
Concrete Association for the Ballenger Highway Rehabilitation Project
(Flint City Limits to Swartz Creek Bridge) in Flint Township. The Genesee
County Road Commission administered the project, and Tony Angelo
Cement Construction was the Contractor for the project. The awards
ceremony occured February 27, 2011.
December 2009
Kraft Engineering and Surveying, Inc. received the 2009 Award of Excellence for
Urban Street Projects for the Center Road Rehabilitation Project (Lapeer Road to
Court Street, City of Burton). The award was accepted by co-owner Tim O'Dell
at the American Pavement Association of Michigan Awards Ceremony on

Miller Road Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. John Plamondon, Construction
Manager of Genesee County Road Commission and Richard H. Kraft
pictured on right. This project involved Miller Road Rehabilitation, from
Ballenger Highway to Linden Road. Engineering firms of Kraft
Engineering and Surveying Inc., and Rowe Professional Services
Company were involved in the design of this project.

Kraft Engineering and Surveying, Inc. received an Award of Merit in 2006 for
Projects 20,000 to 50,000 tons for the Davison Road Lane Widening Project
(Vassar Road to Irish Road), Davison Township. Photo to right shows owners

Richard H. Kraft Engineering, Inc. was purchased by Michael R. Pifer, P.E.
and Timothy L. O'Dell in June 2006. The company name was changed to
Kraft Engineering and Surveying, Inc. at that time.

Commerce Monthly Business Publication celebrating his 50 years in business.
